| Description |
Our client is a leading international professional services business looking to recruit a Marketing and Communications Executive.
This role will support the regions outside of London on all marketing and communications activity across the Midlands and South West region, raising the profile of the brand across the UK and implementing best practice in line with the overall marketing and communications plan.
- You will increase and raise the profile of the business through national, regional and local press.
- Facilitate the generation of quality external PR across the region through developing relationships with journalists, understanding their requirements and delivering quality copy.
- Hold regular one-to-one meetings with business spokespeople with a view to proactively planning activity and drafting articles, press releases and comments for target publications.
- Monitor the online media database daily to record coverage and forward appropriately to engage teams and raise awareness of success.
- Take an active role in identifying business generation/communications opportunities for key development sectors and spokespeople.
- Record ongoing PR activity and feed this in to the monthly marketing and communications report for the regional board meetings.
- Assist in the production of key PR facts and brand messages for bids/pitches/presentations/events and internal communications.
- Assist in maintaining local information and news on the DTZ website and intranet.
- Be able to bring new and innovative ideas to PR activity across the region to develop opportunities further.
Skills & Knowledge
- Essential - strong writing skills and knowledge of English grammar.
- Knowledge of Midland and SW regional media and journalists desirable. Experience of developing strong working relationships with journalists ideal.
- Strong communication and networking skills at all levels.
- Ability to inspire confidence and assurance at senior business level. Confident in advising and developing people in communication activity at all levels.
- Skilled in delivering results in time and to high standards. Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Confident in working independently as well as part of a team.
- Patience and a good sense of humour!
Qualifications
- Degree level or equivalent.
- Recognised /accredited marketing qualification (with specific PR focus) e.g. CIM desirable.

| Experience Required |
- You will be commercially aware with demonstrable business to business PR experience sought from either in-house or agency side.
- Experience of the production of quality copy essential.
- Good understanding of trade and national press and the full communications mix – including PR, e-marketing, client events, direct marketing collateral etc.
- Exposure to a professional services environment would be highly beneficial.
- Strong IT skills - Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Prior use of an online media database would be an advantage.
