This position involves working as part of a large marketing team to promote specific opportunities to SME businesses.  In essence, this role is a direct marketing position and it is therefore essential that you understand the importance of accurate and effective targeting, understand data segmentation principals and know how to put together a direct mail campaign.

The team work across a variety of channels including mail, internet and telephone.  As you develop into the post you will be expected to work with the Head of the Department to decide on the appropriate channel of communication for uptake rates.  Sometimes these may be offline or online campaigns, sometimes they may be integrated.

Part of your daily responsibilities will include agreeing objectives of the monthly mailings, working with the database team to agree and define the target audience, writing copy and producing material for each campaign such as leaflets, brochures etc.  In addition to this you will manage the fulfilment process and assess the actually response to make recommendations for future campaigns.
