They are looking for an experienced Product Manager to improve product positioning within the Utilities sector and increase margin through pro-active management of the product range incorporating all aspects of the marketing mix (pricing, positioning, promotion).

| Experience required |
Develop & implement market sector strategy for pipe fittings and valves in the Utilities sector:
- Understand market share and identify opportunities for market growth
- Develop strategic proposals for price strategy
Contribute to the development of strategic position to combat growing threat of importer product across their market sectors:
- Work with Information Services team to provide detailed analytical data to support strategic decision making (commercial, product, competitor)
- Work with other function managers to develop commercial and technical sales cases
- Investigate opportunities for new market sectors
Lead introduction of new products into the UK market:
- Provide market analysis of status quo and forecasted activities
- Provide detail analysis of competitor activity, likely reactions & consequent potential change in market position
- Provide internal & external information in form of technical/product presentations and or promotional literature
Provide input to commercial strategies to ensure that marketing activity supports sales targets.Co-ordination and planning of external and internal communications:
- Provide proposal & content of external communications – sales literature, such as product catalogues, brochures & leaflets, Website contents.
Ideally you will be of graduate caliber with a degree in Marketing, Business Studies, Economics or related discipline and/or CIM qualified with previous experience in project/product management in an engineering/manufacturing environment. You must have the ability to work under pressure and meet targets, a systematic approach to problems and priorities.An understanding of relaying technical & engineering concepts is also a must.
